FEDERAL AGENCY SETS PUBLIC MEETINGS ON N.C. COASTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FEBRUARY 6, 7 & 8

RALEIGH – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will conduct a series of meetings along the coast in February to receive public comments about the N.C. Coastal Management Program.

NOAA has scheduled the following public meetings, each of which will begin at 6 p.m.:

· Monday, Feb. 6, Room 200 of the N.C. Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources Wilmington office, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington;

· Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Carteret County Courthouse, Commissioners Boardroom, One Courthouse Square, Beaufort;

· Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Dare County Commissioners Office, 204 Ananias Dare St., Manteo

Questions or written comments on NCCMP operations or the evaluation should be sent to Ralph Cantral or Elizabeth Mills, NOAA/NOS/OCRM, 1305 East-West Highway, N/ORM7, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910, no later than February 24, 2006.
